Everything Your Guests Need

The concept was created by Mr Peter Holm (54), who had to spend more than 250 nights a year in hotels due to his international work.

Paris, Istanbul, New York, Berlin, Rome, Athens, Kampala, Nairobi, Barcelona, Madrid, London, Amsterdam, Cairo, and Tel Aviv, just to name a few cities Peter had to travel to.

A Hard Day’s Night

The company he worked for did not pay for luxury hotels, so often the hotels he stayed in did not have any services, other than a vending machine selling refreshments.

Each time he arrived in a new city, his first task was to find a kiosk where he could buy prepaid sim cards. This task was often challenging.

After that, he would start looking for food and drinks at a restaurant nearby. It was often a surprise how long it sometimes took to find a nice restaurant, get service, and receive a normal meal.

Think outside the box

Air travel is tough and the working days were long, so he often came to the hotel completely exhausted. In moments like this, the hotel guests appreciate easy and fast service.

One night while he was buying refreshments from a vending machine, the idea flashed: A vending machine on a cell phone where guests could buy the necessary services in every hotel room.

Everyone would win; Customer, Hotel and Service Provider.

Smart Kitchen & Right Tech Stack

Peter decided to trust the professionals in the field. The service was designed with top professionals in the hotel and restaurant industry, creating an easy and fast ordering experience.

It took two years to develop the concept and technology, but it was worth it.  Peter’s previous careers in the media and retail industry, mixed with the expertise of Hospitality experts, led to the desired result.

His enthusiasm for innovations added an exciting way to use Location-Based GamesSMART KITCHEN equipment, and NFC tags to guide customers, as an additional spice to the concept.

The basic principles of the concept are to meet travellers’ needs and strengthen the ecological, ethical and sustainable local economy.

And so was born Tap OnTag.

Today our mission is to be the world’s leading Cloud hotel room service operator.
